2017 Road Program
The townships’ and villages’ annual programs include paving, tar & chip work, slurry seal, and crack patching on various township roads and village streets. Funding comes from the township’s or village’s respective road and street funds. Particular projects are determined in April and approved by the Board of County Commissioners, Boards of Township Trustees and Village Councils. Work usually begins in May or June and is completed by October. Allen County forces do all of the tar & chip work and some of the Hot Mix Pave work. Some of the Hot Mix Pave work is done by private contractor. All Slurry Seal work is done by private contractor.
