In order to ensure Allen County standards are met, we require permits for all work done within a road’s right-of-way. Permits are required for driveway installation; utility work such as road cuts, bore pits and trenching within the right-of-way; accessing roadside drainage tiles; and hauling overweight items. Fees will apply for working without a permit. An application will require approximately 5 minutes to fill out and will only be valid for 90 days. Permit applications must be received a minimum of 2 days prior to construction.
